So, I signed up for the Final Fantasy XIV Beta, and as it's going into open beta this week, thought I would download all the relevant clients and such that I needed for it. Here is an issue though, I started doing this on the 31st august. It's now 4th september, and guess what? IT HASN'T FINISHED DOWNLOADING!!! I couldn't say why this is, but it's starting to annoy me. Like, how can I play a beta and write a first impressions article about a game I can't play yet!

However, if you need refreshing then SPVTW is the classic story of “Boy meets girl, Boy loves girl, Boy has to defeat the evil ex-boyfriends of girl”.

Near the end of the first day I got to have some hands on with two Playstation Move titles which really did show off why the PS Move could actually be a success. As NaggingGnat put it “The PS Move is what the Wii should have been.” This is something I couldn’t agree with more, and why? Well just read on to find out about my experience with the two titles in question.

My time at this year’s Edinburgh Interactive was a very interesting one. Firstly though I would need to thank NaggingGnat’s other half for being our personal tour guide. She got us from the train station to the Edinburgh Film house in one piece. We would have probably still been wandering Edinburgh the now if she wasn’t there. Ok so back to the event, which was one filled with some great gaming, but also a lot of data which created some very interesting ideas. A highlight of day one was the concept of games not being a service.

During our visit to the Edinburgh Interactive Festival 2010, we attended a talk given to the delegates by Ray Maguire, the current CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. His aim was to convince the sceptics in the room that Sony's recent announcements which have championed and supported 3D media in the home were not misguided. Did he succeed? Well let's see.

Now I know you probably think this is going to have something to do with Tom Cruise? Well it doesn’t but at least the title had you intrigued… No? Well anyway Sony, Paramount Digital Entertainment, Nascar and Piranha Games have announced that Days of Thunder: Nascar Edition is getting nearer release. If you have never heard of Days of Thunder then you must be a young gamer. It was a movie that was a hit for tome cruise back in 1990, in which he played a Nascar driver and that’s all you need to know really. Oh yeah and Nicole Kidman was in it too. Enough of that, let’s get onto details about the game.
